A charming 19th-century French natural-history engraving depicting a female goat and billy goat in mountainous landscapes. Titled La Chèvre. Le Bouc., the plate is attributed to celebrated animal illustrator Édouard Traviès and finished with subtle hand coloring in soft greens, ochres, and browns. Presented beneath glass in a wide cream mat with blue-gray ruled borders and a slender gilt frame, it makes a handsome addition to a gallery wall, library, or collected interior.
